This Teriyaki Seitan "Chicken" is incredibly simple, savoury, and packed with 39 grams of plant-based protein per serving! Made in just 25 minutes, this recipe will easily become one of your favourites.
2tbspno sugar added maple syrupI used the Mrs. Butterworth's brand, but any will work. You can also use regular maple syrup, but the calorie content will differ.
3clovesgarlic, minced
1tspginger, finely grated
1tbspgreen onion, choppedoptional
sesame seedsoptional
white riceoptional, for serving
Instructions
In a small bowl or jar, combine soy sauce, water, cornstarch, syrup, garlic, and ginger.
Heat sauce in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add in the Crispy Seitan Bites, and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring as needed.
Ready to serve! Optionally, serve over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
